I have had Scabies for half a year. I have used the cream that you put all over your body four times and it has not gone away when it turned four months no one knew what is was my doc misdiagnosed it three times no one in my family has it, only me. I am 16 and teens borrow friends clothes all the time and none of my friends have it either I think I got it at the crazy hospital you would think they would wash the sheets, towels, and pillow cases in hot water but I guess not.

My daughter started with a ringworm in her head and then exactly ten days later she had these red bumps on top of hands, face and legs. I thought it was chicken pox at first and took her to the doctor. She also had the lymphnode in the back of her swollen.

The doctor said the swollen lymph and the bumps was just a side effect of the ringworm and I had nothing to worry about. The next day my daughter woke up with even more bumps and now they were on here stomach and back and she had been scratching them at night ( she didn't scratch in the daytime).

I took her to a different doctor and the doctor asked where all did she have bumps , do they itch, do we have any pets(no), does she attend daycare(yes), is there a pet at the daycare(yes).

I start treatment today she has had them for 3 days now I will also be sending a picture because hers don't look the typical pictures I've seen. She's only 2 years old.

I have been fighting scabies for a month and a half now. I first went to the Doctor and got the cream. After three tubes muscles hurt I was fatigued, lost my desire to eat and run down. I went online and found Neem Oil (all natural and good for you in 1001 ways they say), it started making me feel better and was working but smells a little bad.

I wanted to get rid of them faster so I used an old recipe I use for poison ivy. Bleach! I take a knife and scrap the infected spots until they are rosie red and open them up to expose the little critters (a little painful) then put bleach on them (little more pain but only a few minutes and the sting is gone) and Wa-La they are dead in minutes.

Bleach has eaten every natural thing I have seen it comes in contact with. Like wise, it eats them and the eggs, and the dead bodies (don't itch anymore as they say the dead bodies will for a month or longer tying to get out!), they are just gone.

You still have the problem of reinfection, I have washed everything washable in hot water, borax, bleach and the neem oil, bagged and sealed it. I am only leaving out a few things to wear for the next few weeks, and bag what I wear until wash time every three days, same with bedding and other linens.

A guy here say he washes the clothes and lines he needs for the next day and leaves them in the dryer until he needs them (great Idea). I am keeping up with the neem oil as it is good for my skin and hair ( just mix in with your shampoo and lotion). It makes the little fellows sterile so the can not breed.

The hard surfaces I bleach several times a day and the carpets, couch, ect... I spray with a mixture of water, insecticide and neem oil. I also vacuum everything in site everyday. So far so good. The neem oil sooths the itching also if you don't go the bleach route.

I am sure this will work for every one that has scabies provided you can stand the little bit of pain (better then the itchy crawling feeling and it only last a few minutes).

If this works you can thank my son for being so kind as to bring them home to meet me. Good luck with your nightmare. I think mine is over, day two after bleaching myself.

So i STILL have bloody scabies - nearly five months now. I wouldn't mind had i not been completely anal about following the instructions. I used sulfur ointment which didn't get rid of them, but did burn my skin and made my house stink or stale farts, i used the the neem oil which made ME stink like a bad Indian takeaway meal... it was disgusting... and embarrassing!

I have been spending a fortune on melathion liquid, using it way more than is recommended. I have covered my mattress and pillows in plastic. I have been washing and ironing and drying like a lunatic. I always bath and wear clean clothes... and still i have them!

what i don't get is if they are this easy to catch, and this (seemingly) difficult to get rid of, why aren't millions more people affected? Next step for me is ripping up the carpets and maybe throwing out the sofa. I HAVE to get rid of this... it's completely and utterly ruining my life :o(

I caught scabies from a pup 14 years ago, it did not go away on its own. I got rx creams and it was gone overnight. Once again I think I'm infected from some dogs at work that have just been diagnosed with scarcoptic mange (scabies). I'm just afraid I'll give it to my dogs at home. I have 6 of them. How on earth should I go about this?

I thought i had scabies but it was fleas. they had to fumigate my whole building. to find out if it's fleas are not put a tray on the ground. fill the tray with water and soap and put a lamp over it. the tray should be like 1/2 an inch in height or less.

Do this for a week and put it overnight. trust me you'll find a lot of things. fleas are about 1 millimeter and black. I didn't think i would have fleas but i found like 1. the bites at first itch then the next day it turns red. I thought it was a mosquito bite, but it wasn't.

You could also see a trail like the bites were one inch from each other.

Good luck everyone. god bless you. i hate bugs!!!

I have had 2 different kinds of scabies, dog scabies which spread fast but don't burrow in, and another one now which burrows in and is hard to get rid of, but hasn't spread fast. seems like a permethrin or ivermectin cream treatment on the burrows, and something like tea tree oil in shampoo all over the body, or an insecticidal soap to prevent them spreading, should work. it is true that the itching goes on after the mites die. good luck, fight back and win.
