I woke up one morning and found a painless red area on my right side about the size of a golf ball. each day i checked to find it grew. it made its way around my waist and almost touched on the other side before it began to fade away. i found the outer skin of a large spider in that room. it looked grey or black. it wasn’t much more than a curled up spider skin at that time. is that a wolf spider bite?
I have 5 bites but I don,t know what they are they are as big as a dime and itch really bad and I cant lay on it it feels like there’s something in it please someone help me
I think i have two spider bites maybe 3 (2 in the same spot) they both itch and started of small like a mosquito. But i barely go outside and i do have spiders in my house but there quit small, smaller then a penny and i see them in the corners of my ceilings (just a couple). should i be worried? my bites are itchy and red, but dont look infected..
I woke up about 4 days ago with two red, 1 inch bumps on my right thigh. It hurts really bad whenever it is touched, I honestly don’t know what it is. I don’t think it’s a mosquito bite because it should be gone within two days but it’s not. The two red bumps on my right thigh has been red and hurting 24/7.
I have tried neosporin for two days with bandages covering them and nothing changes. It’s still red, 1 inch and also hurt really bad. Yesterday I’ve started to notice a black dot in the middle of the red bumps. I don’t know what it is, can someone please help?
A few days ago I was laying on my bed watching a movie and I saw hanging just a few inches from my face what I at first thought was a gnat flying. I clapped my hands together to catch it and kill it and i was black and so small so i figured it was still a gnat because it was to hard to tell after I killed it,
well a few minutes later there was another one and another one every minute or so then one was on my arm and I then noticed it was a very small black spider the size of a gnat No bigger!.
I told my husband who was sitting next to me on his computer and a few minutes later he had two on him we killed them and then noticed that they must be coming from the light fixture as if maybe they where up in the attic And this is in Northern Illinois by the border of Wisconsin we killed about 20 or more and sprayed the lights and room well after that we only have found one since the day after and none after that.
about 3 days after all of this I woke up and my husband said what happened to your lip? I felt my lip and it was swollen I ran to the bathroom and my lip was very red and swollen at that time it started to hurt a bit I figured that it will go away on its own and washed my face. their was no bite visible other then the fact that it was a large bump and red about a few hours later the pain started to get worse. my lip started forming a pus bag and I just couldn’t leave it alone. my skin that was covering the pus was light yellow in color but the pus was clear or water like but sticky.
my lip felt better as i was draining it, but the next morning my lip was huge and red. the bump was so swollen that my lip was almost touching my nose and the pain was so bad. the swelling went down after 3 days but my lip keeps growing and peeling. the scab that is sometime light green/yellow or light pink. from time to time and the pain is still there but its a not swollen how ever my lip keeps opening a sore that is long and keeps changing from small to big and big to small then back to big, it looks like someone busted open my lip.
its going on 5 days now and the pain wont go away. it hurts to talk / drink / eat / even when I am not talking.
I believe it was on of those baby black spiders from the night or two before but I don’t know what kinda spider, I looked online and the only one that I think so far that it could be might be a Black House Spider but then again it was a bit hard to tell.
the pain fells like I have been stung by a wasp any idea on what it was or how i can treat it on my lip! since I cant use to many things on my lips I have been using Hydrogen peroxide but that’s all.
i woke up with 2 bites on my leg. One is on the upper part of my leg on the back, it doesn’t bother me much, but the second one is on the upper part of my calf. It burns and itches basically all day & night. There’s two bumps and its always red around it. Even itching lotion won’t make it stop itching. /:
I have two bites on my stomach and they have puss and blood coming out of them. I have been having problems even walking because they hurt so bad. I have eczema but I know that this is not that. They might be infected or something but I think they are spider bites because there are spider everywhere in my house. Please email me back.
I went to school today and then saw a bite. At first I thought it was a mosquito bite, but then realized it wasn’t. Its kind of a clear color on top, and its really small, like I said, it looked like a mosquito bite. It dont itch, or hurt at all, but I don’t know what bit me. 🙁 I’m really scared someone PLEASE HELP ME! :'(
I think I have a spider bite. It is on my back. And it looked like 3 little pimple type bumps. It itched at first (2 weeks ago). It doesn’t itch so much now. There are two things that are happening that are unusual to me. Intense pain in my back. It comes and goes through out the day. It is quite intense when it does occur. I try to touch the area where the bites are and it feels “connected” meaning that it feels connected or part of the “stuff” I can feel in my back.
I feel pain but also feel like there is something in there. A couple weeks ago I could definitely feel something in there and under my arm. I thought I was going crazy. I didn’t associate it with a spider bite because the red pimple like marks just looked like a pimple. I have had some other things going on and associated it with that. But I had my sister come and look at it last night and she described it better to me. She described the bite and that it feels like there is something hard in there around the bite marks.
I am pretty sure it is a spider bite of some kind but can’t seem to figure out what it is. The pain is intense and happens at night for a few hours. I live in Utah if that helps. It is just weird and I would like to get to that bottom of it and figure it out. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
I am grateful for this site and the sharing the guided me to the doctor and on some additional treatment. I woke up late Wed with a welt on my chest that was red and really hurt. I could not figure out what it was at first, then remembered my husband stating that our daughter said she saw a spider just after I cleaned that chandelier in the foyer (the prior afternoon).
I never felt a bite, but all symptoms indicated a bite. During the day, the area of the bite got bigger and started to hurt more when I moved where pressure was applied, or something touched/ pushed in that area (it really hurt). Anyway, I went to the Dr., got antibiotics and a tetanus vaccine since it had been many years…The swelling, redness and heat increased and it looked like a volcano by Sat…days later. The redness was several inches in diameter.
The pressure and pain increased, making it hard to sleep at night. I tried to break an area on the top that looked like puss under the surface…no luck. I cleaned it and put on a band-aid. many hours later, I removed the bandage and the area started to drain. It now really looked like a small volcano; it had the hole in the center like several of the pics on this site.
I drained it myself…painful as it was by applying lots of pressure…very gross. Next day, it looked like the skin around the hole was purple/black. I called the doctor who said draining it was fine and it appeared to be running its course ( and I was on antibiotics). He stated that if he redness increased anymore to call back.
I continued to apply wound care (draining, cleaning and new bandages due to drainage), and noted noted a white area in the center of the hole. Otherwise, it was not worse, but not better. A later time, using a paper towel, I was able to pull out the white area (thinking this might be the puss sac someone else had described in a previous post). Well, the next day the wound is finally healing and the draining and swelling has really decreased…not sure if the antibiotics finally kicked in or if it was removing the “white stuff.”.
Just glad it is getting better and most likely really was a bite and not MRSA (which many sites say is usually the issue).
I’m not really sure if it was a spider or another insect that bit me. I was watching TV last night and felt stinging on my arm. there was no bug just a small red bump like a small pimple that stung like crazy. about thirty minutes later I started getting hives on my wrists, hips shoulders and legs. and about an hour later my throat started to close I could barely talk. I chewed one benadryl and took another one and the swelling and hives’ were gone.
The bite never changed still just looks like a tiny pimple. When I woke up this morning my fingers were swollen and started to get hives on my ankles so I took more benadryl and they went away. I’m not allergic to anything and have only gotten hives twice in my life before but nothing like this. any clue?
I got bit by a spider last night wile sleeping. it is about a centimeter away from my eye. I am not feeling any pain around there, the day before i saw a small spider in my room not even sure what kind it was the body was small and gray and the legs were sort of long. i know the the only spiders in new jersey are black widow and brown recluse so e mail me please to help me out thank you.
I saw a spider one night in my room and then I lost it. The next morning I woke up and I had a spider bite very high on my thigh. It is very dark red around the middle and black smack dab in the middle. Around it is pink and it is very painful.
I think many of you are describing bites from bed bugs. I think you all should look into it. If the bites form a circle or line, it could be bed bugs. If you are bit at night, it’s also a sign of bed bugs.

my baby brother is 11 months old and he has this rash all over his body, we took him to the doctor (when he was 5 months old) and he told us it was the fifth disease, and it should go away in about 5 weeks. well my brother still has it. now my mom and dad are getting the same rash, it has very small lesions(like a bite) and a rash type deal and its all over their body.
we had thought it was bed bugs,so we cleaned our whole house but it didn’t seem to help. there are 8 people living in our house, it seems to be just the one room. any help please email me

I have this really bad spider bight its a bought the size of a nickel and it has a purplish top part and it slowly fades in to red until it gets to the bottom were my skin attaches to the bite. It inches really bad and I tried to pop it and only a little bit of puss came out. I’m having a hard time sleeping because I hate spiders, any ideas about what to do with my bite?
Three days ago I was getting ready for bed when I found something that looked like a pimple. I tried to pop it, it hurt so bad that I left it alone and went to sleep. when I woke up there was two puncture marks in the middle of a large swollen and red area on my inner thigh.
I am on the third day now the swollen area has gotten bigger, redder and more painful. I have a Doctors appointment this happened over the weekend. but I never saw what bit me and I was wondering if anyone might know what kinda of spider bite makes the dark blue black punctures with a large red area around it. the puncture marks are small and close together and dark. just wanted to thank you for this site. woke up Christmas eve with three bites on my thumb. noticed them first thing in the morning. they swelled throughout the day and by evening felt flaming hot. i was wrapping gifts and laying the scissors on them to cool them for a second. by the next morning more than half my hand was swollen and a red vein was tracking up to my wrist, three inches long. i took a break from cooking to check your site and saw enough similar symptoms and warnings that i decided to go to the e.r. immediately. my family was shocked, but the hospital is across the street.
Being Christmas, it was empty and i was seen right away. the doctor felt I’d come in early enough that i wouldn’t need to be admitted. they gave me i.v. antibiotics, a tetanus shot and a prescription for amoxicyllin. and a stern warning that if it didn’t get significantly better in 24 hours – or if the red vein infection spread any further – to get my ass back to be admitted.
i did not need to go back and my hand is back to normal except for the flaking skin around the initial bite marks.
thanks a million! i hate going to doctors and would have let it go critical if i hadn’t heard of this site. which would have been stupid since i pay for great health insurance. you were right, you have hours, not days to get on top of a blood infection. i knew that. i knew that a discolored vein tracking toward my heart is an infection – it’s in every plague movie – but i didn’t recognize it on my own hand.

I just moved into a new place, and have been seeing so many spiders. I got bit while I was sleeping the first night on my knee, and it just itched and went away. But two mornings ago I woke up and had a bigger bit on the top of my upper thigh, there is a good inch of redness around it, and it is hard where it is red. The bump where I was bit has gotten bigger and now looks like a donuts and has liquid coming out. It hurts when anything touches it. Any ideas?! Thanks!
I noticed a small,itchy red bump on my wrist today. I think I got it from a tiny spider that was climbing on me. The spider was tiny and brown. Where I live there are many wolf spiders and I would like to know if the bump on my wrist is a sign of a wolf spider bite. If it is, then is a wolf spider poisonous? I had a small -which I thought bite on my right wrist. After a few days, my wrist was swollen and inflamed. Now today, it is black and blue and its like someone took a chunk out of my skin. Right now it feels like my heart is in my wrist! Just a pulse type pumping in my wrist and it hurts like heck! Anyone knows what type of spider or what it is!?
I was bitten by a bug or small spider on the side of my knee a week ago in northern California it stopped itching after a while but has now swollen an almost full inch of my skin and spread to the size of a mashed quarter. The place where i was bitten in the center of the swelling is dry and flaky and it seems to raise of my skin more everyday or if it bumps on something. it does not hurt and seems slightly numb. i can still feel it when it hits something but just barely

I have moved into a hotel for the winter due to work and I recently have been feeling quick bites on my leg and other spots on my body while laying in bed at night. I recently got a small itchy boil like almost as small as a mosquito bite on my butt cheek. Thinking it was just that it was just that, I scratched it without too much caution.
It popped and as soon as it did it began to give me unbearable pain. It swelled up to the size of a golf ball and opened up to the size of a bullet hole wound. Now I just got bit again on my leg and and I refuse to pop it. In the center is a black dot. Please if there are any ideas what it is please comment.
A week ago I got a spider bite while sleeping; just looks like tiny pinpricks and I did not see the spider. It’s on the outside edge of my shoulder blade almost to my armpit. It still itches on and off but odder is the oval ring of bruises spreading away from it. It’s not solid like a doughnut but it’s more like a ring of small individual bruises. The weirdest part is the area inside the ring is numb. I can feel some touch and pressure but the numbness seems to be spreading…any ideas? Suggestions?

On Dec 21st late in the evening I was feeling a little pain about 3 inches from my stomach incision. ( I am Recovering from my third spinal surgery and have a big incision on my stomach below my belly button and it is ok)
I put my hand down my pants and to the right just above my bikini hair line there was what felt like a small bump. I asked my mom to come and look at it since it was very painful. She said it looked like a spider bite and was red and purple. I had squeezed it then and she put some rubbing alcohol on it to dry it out. The Next morning it hurt even worse. At this point the bite was red and purple and was rising off my skin about an inch and a half or so. I kept trying to squeeze it to get it to pop but it hurt so bad to even touch it.
Again, we put rubbing alcohol on it to dry it out. I am heavy set so I have a fat roll. Christmas eve I got up in the morning went to the bathroom and when I was done I went to look at it in front of the mirror. I was pulling up the excess fat and had put a small amount of pressure right above it and it popped BAD. It started running down my leg this brown puss. I laid on my bed and again had my mom look at it. She squeezed it and more and more came out.
It filled 5 Q- Tips with this puss. At first the puss was brown, then it turned green then went to blood. there are hard areas around it. it is now the 29th and it look a lot better but is very painful and is still leaking this gooey puss but only a small amount and there is still a small hole in my skin. It does not seem to get worse but it is not healing. Any advice? Was it a spider or something else? Thanks for any comments or help you can give.
I think I need to have it looked at but I am recovering from a MAJOR spinal surgery and It is hard for me to get better. So, as of now It is about the size of a penny with a small hole in the middle. It is red and painful. Thank you for reading and help would be great.
I have been bitten at least 4 times in the last two days, the marks are only about 1/2 cm in length but they are fairly close together, one’s on my thumb the other is on the bit of skin between my thumb and forefinger. If anyone can help please let me know, I haven’t seen this type of bite before.
I have two spider bites on my neck and a really bad stiff neck for seven days and counting. I also have a really big knot on my neck where it hurts. What do I do to make my neck feel better? I cant even turn my neck and I’ve tried heating pads and hot rub but no relief. Please help.
i keep getting very painful bites every night and haven’t seen the bug yet or spider. I keep getting bit on my hands and now my right hand is red, swollen and throbbing with pain and now its radiating up my arm to my shoulder and my neck. I also keep getting bit on my ear and my jaw line. occasionally on my legs but its so painful it wakes me up.
I am the only one in my house that’s getting bit. I get while I’m asleep either day time or night so its diffidently not bed bugs. the doctor couldn’t identify the bites. I had an exterminator come out and look and he couldn’t find anything. so I’m at a loss and so exhausted from not sleeping in fear of getting bit.
I think I have been bitten by a spider, I’m not too sure of it though. I spent the night at a friend’s house about 3 nights ago and as I was standing up to go to bed I felt a sting on my leg, I froze up, I was terrified to look at what was on my leg, I finally looked a few minutes later and there was a thin, brown ring with maybe 3 or 4 puncture holes in the middle of it, I hadn’t ever seen anything like it before.
I almost left right then and there to head to the emergency room, but I took a picture and sent it to my dad who is a paramedic instead to see if I had anything to worry about, he told me that it looked like a black widow bite and to go to the doctor the next day after I let him look at it in person. I woke up the next morning and it all looked completely different, the color changed on the inside to a yellow yucky looking color, when my dad saw it he told me it looked like carpet burn or some type of injury instead of any kind of bite and not to worry about it, so I didn’t… until the next day when I noticed that my “carpet burn” had spread a little to the right of the original mark.
so I decided to take it to the doctor’s office, my doctor told me that he didn’t know what it was, but it didn’t look like a spider bite, he mentioned mersa and ring worm but he said it didn’t really have the characteristics of either one so he wasn’t sure what it was, he prescribed me antibiotics and told me if it didn’t start to heal in 3 days to try ring worm medicine.
I am currently still on my 3 day wait and see trial but I am worried if I should have a second opinion on things, it seems that it’s getting worse everyday and I have noticed that my hands, feet, and face have all been swollen. I would really like to know what all of this is, I am worried that it is a type of spider bite, and I would prefer not to have chunks of skin missing out of my leg. Does anyone know what I may be experiencing? I would greatly appreciate it.
I was going to lay down so i laid there for a few minutes a felt a sharp pain i looked and tried to see what it was nothing. A few minutes later my legs started to hurt, there was a black caved in my shin. It hurts help me.
About 3 days ago, I went to bed and woke up and my right hand itching like crazy. It looked like a normal bug bite. The next day the side of my hand was a bit red, but the spot was swollen and red, probably from me scratching. I applied anti-itch cream thinking it was an insect bite. I talked to my mom and she said it might be a spider bite.
I’ve been monitoring closely, and swelling has went down but it is still red and splotchy right on the spot itself. There is a little bump there but no bite marks. The first day, it was very hard, probably full of puss. Anyone know what this is?
i woke up at about 6am to my hand hurting but i was so tired that i didn’t look at it i just went back to bed! when i woke up again at 10am i saw what looked like a dark purple pimple on my middle knuckle of my left hand so i popped it thinking the pain would go away but it didn’t and my hand is still hurting! can anyone tell me what it could be, i haven’t seen a spider in my apartment yet (thank god because i’m terrified of them) but still its hurting and still red around it! help please.
Yeah I got a spider bite and it was when I was sleeping, So over the next 16 hours I was awake, it was really itchy. Then I went to sleep and the next day it was a white bump in the morning, right now I’m at school and it got bigger. I popped it got a little puss out and a little mound, circular was made, oozing just a tiny bit of clear liquid every few minutes.
its so annoying one day all of a sudden i wake up with a pimple looking thing on my right arm near my elbow.After days it got bigger looking like a white head and in a week and a half it popped. All that was left was a scab then stupid me i picked at the scab month’s later then puss come out of it for not stop. Finally it stopped but then another pimple thing tried to come out but i popped that before it started. After days i noticed a giant scab ball looking thing came out of the wound and after a day a thin layer of skin covered it.Its been month’s now and it still looks the same it looks like two dark red hole covered by a see through pink skin layer. I’m not sure if this is a spider bite but if it is someone please help.
I have been getting bitten at night and the thing leaves two marks, about a quarter of an inch apart. It started last February, then stopped for a while, then in August it’s been almost every night. It even bit me through a glove, and through a sock. It only bites me, not my husband or my son (thank God), and we flea bombed and sprayed what the bug expert said to spray, but it continues.
I got an insect head cover and that stopped it on my face, but it returns to my right hand and right ankle. It burns and then is sore and itches as it heals, doesn’t get infected, is bad and ugly but not horrific, but of course, very upsetting and not minor at all. Any thoughts? I live in central Oregon.
I got bit over night i think i might be a spider bite though because it is like two bite marks wright next to each other and well I got two of the same bite one on each cheek so it must of been the same bug when i touch it really hurts
I got bit by I’m thinking it was a spider, but I didn’t see it and I didn’t even feel it bite me. Its a raised bump with a bulls eye right in the center of it, and it is red all around probably 2 1/2 inches in diameter, painful with pains going up my arm. WHAT BIT ME??
I just got a spider bite this morning and it’s been mildly hurting all day it has two fang marks, the size of a pushed in pin. the redness around is maybe a centimeter in diameter. If anyone can help that would be great!!! thanks!
My name is joni deets and i have a spider bite on my leg and two black dot on my leg and I had to go to the memorial Herman hospital to take out a spider bite that had a big round bruise and it got to swollen to walk I had to get my leg cut open and it it was horrible six shots in my leg I was hurting badly
I have a spider bite that first looked like a regular bug bite the next day it’s a little pus bubble and red.it looked like a brown recluse but it could be something else.I don’t know if I should be worried.
Alyssa, does your ‘bite’ itch? if not and it is just tender, than my guess is that it is actually a boil/abscess. They are common on that part of your body because of pant line/body oils. Don’t try to pop it yourself, put hot compresses on it, and if it doesn’t drain on it’s own, go to the doctor and they will give you antibiotics to clear it up. It is getting harder because it is filling up more (I know not pretty) but you need to take care of it. Don’t pop it or cut it yourself… it will only get worse. Try the compresses and the doctors.
Hello, I went to stay the night at my cousins and see her new house. I stayed in her guest room and the next day i had a really bad pain on my lower back top of my butt. sort of on my pants line. Well i had my sister look at it and she said that it looked like a spider bite. I cant see it but this is how she described it to me.
“red, it is a bump, it is forming a top/pimple. I live in Ohio and i started looking online and saw that the people who had this happen to them said it was a brown recluse and i don’t think that is what it is because it is now almost day 3 and it hasn’t gotten lines going out of it. The only symptoms i have are; Pain! That’s it except for shaking a little. It has been getting redder and the redder it gets the more ” hardened” it gets. No,i did not catch the spider doing it nor did i catch a spider!

Hi, my stepmom is freaking out because she just got a spider bite about 3 days ago on her toe and each day it gets bigger and bigger and it itches her like crazy. Should she go to the doctor or is it not that bad to need medical attention? Well we aren’t sure but shes worried because we are looking it up and there is a picture that looks exactly like hers and it should be from a black widow but we checked the house and there’s nothing. If anyone can help us we really need it thank you so much!!
I had a spider bite once on the back of my leg and each fang spot was about as big as a dime and had purple lines going up and down my leg from each fang spot. The doctor I went to said it was a spider bite he just didn’t know what spider it came from though. I was wondering if anybody else knew what spider it was that did that. I had no other symptoms if that helps. I would really appreciate if someone could help me.
just a little FYI.
If you think you have a BITE from an insect or bug that injects poison (i.e. spider) and are not concerned enough to go to the doctor, a home remedy I found effective is a baking soda paste (just baking soda and water, make it thick to stay on the bite mark). Mine was an aggressive house spider, and it bit me on the neck when I thought it was my hair and slapped at it.
My glands started swelling and I had redness at the bite and red lines coming out. That little trick saved me from having to drag 2 small children to the ER in the middle of the night. If there is ANY doubt, the SOONER you have a doctor evaluate your bite and the sooner you start treating a bite, the better your healing time! This can be serious people!
i seriously need someone help. 2 dr just brushed it off. and me with the bleep is biting me? its so crazy that if my boy friend wasnt here to witness, i believe people think im crazy or over exaggerating the details. okay here goes…..please help me……
im a inventory specialist. i inventory grocery stores, convenience store and hardware store. okay I live in SD. Every quarter we go out west (which would put us south western SD and north western corner of NE. Were there for 3-4 nights. travel throught the part of the reservation. we stay at 3 seperate hotels. here goes
about 2 1/2 years ago now, after that trip’ on left arm i developed this mosquito like bite and itch like one. Except 1. there were no mosquito around 2. next day it was 3x bigger and it was hard and very red and hot and itched like ive ever itched. I was like the itching spread it out more turning in to little blister type. sorry about this but oozing yellowish clear liquid. last 4/5 days and dry up with a big nasty scab and ending with a faded scar.
3 month later went on that work trip again and after returning from trip on my right wrist developed same thing except i was feeling very fatigued. 3 months later. after returning from same trip on my left upper arm now i’ve received not one but 3 at one time in the same area. not 24 hours later it was bad friends convince me to go to er. they could tell me what bite me and never called it a bite but within 10mins a nurse was in there with a shot. in the rear.
went home and helped it went away. now 3 month later again. same trip but this time on my left leg 3 bites but this time not clustered together but now affecting a larger area. now same situation continues every 3 months. until 6 months ago. i receive one at home on my wrist. it was more like the ones in the beginning. bad but 3 bad feeling. okay 3mos later again now on right upper ankle, one on calf and one on saide of calf. i so refrain front itching them so wouldn’t brake them open. i protected them so they wouldn’t brake open by the 2 day my leg really hurt at work. that night i had to pop the one on side of calf because there was so much pressure it felt like my skin was gonna rip. my mom convinced me to pop it. i did next morning it didn’t feel like ripping any more. but weird thing, my voice was so horse sounding i could barley speaker.
and that last for a total of 42 days. but after 29 days i went to er and chest was fine and throat cultures were fine. sent me home. they thought it could be viral due to my symptoms, they said it will work its self out. almost 2 weeks after going to er. I got kind of a cold. when cold went away, my voice came back. now in last 2 months. since September 2011. now i’m getting these at home now. they are not as intense as the ones i get on the work trip but started out one next time a couple at once in same area of body. next time i was cleaning all day and part of night at home get ready for fall. i was all over apartment. that night i took shower. i had 2 on one leg near each other and 2 on my other except one on upper leg and other on lower. every week. now several times a week. last week i fell on couch for a few hours well next day at work upper back between shoulders.
it itched across there. when i got home i looked i had 9. a line cluster of 7 on upper shoulder across the other 2 upper middle back. right now there almost gone. they leave scars. Please Please help me. i’ve researched every from bite to immune system problems. please help me. if i had money i be going to drs till i found out about these. but i don’t have money and the ones ive to don’t know. no explanations.
I was antique shopping when suddenly it felt like something crawling on the inside of my pants. I took my hand to scratch the area of my pants where it felt like something moving and then I felt the bite. It hurt and immediately started itching. I scratched the area and felt it bite again. I found the nearest bathroom to pull my pants down so that I could see what had just bitten me and a dead white house spider was stuck to my leg. I had obviously killed it when scratching my leg. I removed the spider and cleansed the area of the bite with soap and water. I continued with my antique shopping. Within 30 minutes I started sneezing and had nasal congestion.
I left for home, thinking I was developing a cold virus. The next day, I noticed the site of the bite was raised and red. I applied rubbing alcohol, Neosporin and a bandaid. My ‘cold virus’ lasted 2 days of intense sneezing and feeling lethargic where all I wanted to do is sleep. By the third day my cold symptoms had disappeared but the spider bite was now the size of a dime, raised, swollen with blood and bruised around the site. No pain unless I accidentally brushed against it. On the forth day I made an appointment to see the doctor. Just before my appointment I took a hot shower and the raised blood filled bite ruptured and bleed.
When I got to the doctor it was confirmed to be a spider bite. I was told the cold-like symptom was from my bodies reaction to the bite. I was given a tetanus shot and sent on my way. I was told the site would heal in approximately 8 weeks.

I had gotten bit on my ankle. I didn’t realize it until my friend noticed my itching it constantly. i though it was just a bug bite til he saw the two holes . I’m not too sure the symptoms i should be getting but my whole foot is bruising up and it hurts really bad to walk on it. anybody know what’s going on???
I have a bump that i think is a spider bit and its like half the size of a dime and it looks like a dark red color around the bump. and the bump is like a bruise color purple and i didn’t even notice it until just 30 mins ago and it doesn’t hurt unless you touch it. if you know what it is could you please tell me?

Yesterday, 11/10/11, I pulled out my daughters little carrier, that I put on like a bookbag. It had been sitting in the closet for 2 weeks, when I went outside to talk to my fiance, something bit me right below my underarm. It was the most painful bite I have ever experienced my whole life. It almost felt as if someone was taking 10 needles and stabbing that spot over and over again. I ran inside and put my daughter down, went to see what the bite looked like, and all there was, was a dark spot, it was circle and the size of a needle. When I put an ice pack on it, the spot felt better, but as soon as I took it off, it would throb, and I couldn’t stand the pain. This morning when I woke up, I looked in the mirror, and it was swollen (looked like a HUGE mosquito bite) and it itched. The swelling was about the size of a penny.
Tonight when I looked at it, the swelling had grew to the size of a quarter. It still throbs today, but not as bad, I can feel the pain but it’s not to the point where I am noticing it. It also itches…. I had no idea if this could be a spider bite, and maybe the spider could have come off the carrier. My fiance said he didn’t see anything, but he also said it could be a horse fly, but from what I have heard, horse flies bite and make you bleed.
If anyone could PLEASE help me, that would very much appreciated.

A spider has bitten me on my hand. The rash is quite small, circular and very sore. The skin has dried up and is peeling constantly. There is a white “rim” on the outside of the rash. I was bitten 3 weeks ago. Any suggestions?
i’m not sure if mine is a spider bite or not, but i just noticed a red/purplish small bump on the right side of my breast, the reason i think it could possibly be a bite is because i can see a small area in which it looks like a fang or a stinger would have been [and to the left of it it almost looks like another but i can’t tell] and all day today [before i noticed this]
i thought i was having a caffeine overdose or something because i took 3 exederings [for a headache] and quite a few vitamins [which include green tea]..all with meals though. but ive been going to the bathroom frequently, shaky, and have been sort of feeling out of my body. when i went to work out it helped a little, but now i feel the same way. help please?? advice?? i don’t want to go to the doctor/emergency room and have them look at me like i’m some kind of lunatic. thanks so much!!

I’m not sure if what i’ve got is a spider bite but my wife is convinced. It started about a week ago on my left index finger. It felt like maybe a pimple or some sort of acne but a strange ache in the knuckle when ever I bent or bumped the affected area. Soon after it swelled up and produced a white head just like facial or body acne. So I popped it in the shower but could not get the core out. I left it alone and the redness and swelling increased.
So two days later I popped and squeezed and squeezed until all the pimple like pus was out. (I’m sorry this is so gross!) A day later the hole from which the pus came out had a little black ring on the top layer of skin and the swollen area around was red, purple and sensitive. I really would like to know what in the world, if anything at all, bit me
OK, i keep seeing something flying around my house that looks like a misquote but it buzz’s. I keep getting bites on my feet and hands. Yesterday i had two bites on my foot, one that looked like a line straight across the other was just a bite both were white when i scratched them. I also had two on my hand that night, (one on my wrist and one on the top of my hand sorta in the middle). Today i have a bite in the middle of my big toe and pointer toe. My dad put itch cream on the ones from last night but the two on my hands are there again! And now while i am writing this i just got a bite on my pinkie finger! I live in Florida, so we have lots of bugs. The only time i was out was yesterday at the library and i was sitting on top off my grandmothers car waiting for my mother to pick me up. I am wondering what these are!

I also read almost every comment but none still do not say anything about the white bumps that are on mine. I have seen people say that red spreads on the place where the bite is, that’s true but mine is not everywhere like my hole foot or something. If the rash is progressing and it’s interfering with your everyday life it’s not a bad idea to visit the ER if you can’t get into your doctor’s office. You could also call your doctor’s office and ask for their opinion, but my guess is that they would probably tell you to go to the ER. If you go to the ER you can get a proper diagnosis, it’s always best to do that than trying to figure out what the problem is yourself or using the Internet.
I got bitten by something 3 weeks ago resulting in a bad rash under my armpit. Have been on anti-biotics for 2 weeks. The rash has come and gone but has now broke out in other areas including my throat which keeps swelling up and making it hard to swallow at times. Not sure what to do and can’t get into doctors. Should I go to hospital?
Mines is the same as –>I woke up Monday morning with an itch on my thigh. and at first I thought it was a mosquito bite, but it looked pretty big. It was really swollen and red. I saw a little opening in the middle. I put rubbing alcohol on it, triple antibiotic ointment and put a band-aid over it. After a few hours, I took the band-aid off and looked at the bite again. The little opening in the middle was tiny, but the bite really hurt and it was really big under my skin. I could feel it in my leg and when I walked, it was pretty huge and it was like a bruise under my skin. My thigh looked abnormal because it was so swollen.
I did the same thing, put rubbing alcohol, ointment and a band-aid. After I took a shower that evening, I cleaned the bite, looked at it a little more and realized the center had gotten bigger. The next morning, whatever was hurting underneath my skin shrank. But the middle had gotten bigger and its white now. It’s like an odd shaped crater, but I don’t see any pus. It’s just white. And its got a red ring surrounding it. And its weird because these little bumps showed up and are now around it. I have no idea what this is… I’m scared it might be a brown recluse spider bite, but from what I’ve researched those get bigger very quickly. This one is getting bigger slowly. Its been a little over 2 days now and it went from a microscopic hole to a 1/2 a centimeter wide with a few bumps surrounding it. I don’t know what to do.

I have a spider biting me at night. His name is V, because he seems to have a vendetta against me. He has bitten me over 20 times, mostly June and Sept/Oct. He only bites exposed skin, my left arm and right leg. I haven’t seen him but I know he is there. I am allergic to it so its a horrible time.
The Dr decided to treat me for scabies in case it was but V must like the medication because he bite through it :(, I’m going to have to move before V kills me. Whenever he bites I wake up with the itches. It starts small but some have ended up being the size of a walnut. They itch like no tomorrow. They will stay swollen for two weeks and when they go down, they leave a black mark.
The bites from June start itching again whenever I get bite. Big sigh I wish I could figure out how to stop him. Oh and the little a-hole bite me on the boob which I wouldn’t wish on my worse enemy.
I was bitten by a black widow 4 days ago. Within 24 hrs had the following symptoms: painful joints and muscle stiffness, elevated blood pressure, sharp pain in my chest and in the kidney area, nausea with a lack of appetite, and when I did eat, stomach cramping. Dizziness, if i got up too fast I thought I would pass out. Wicked headache, so alternating Ibuprofen and Tylenol every 4 hrs. General overall weakness and feeling crummy (flu-like symptoms).
Developed a 2 inch red bulls-eye pattern at bite site, where I can see the puncture marks. Slowly turning into a purple bruise color as the days progress. I feel best if I keep very hydrated (craving Coco-Vitas) and getting plenty of rest. Ice pack to bite site and keeping it elevated. Bulls-eye feels hot to the touch and sore. I drew a circle around it immediately to make sure the swelling wasn’t progressing. Using triple anti-biotic ointment and a First aid cream containing Lidocaine so it doesn’t get infected. Also taking Benadryl to help me sleep and to help with some of the symptoms.
I was bitten on the upper part of my thigh. I sat on the spider. I think there will be less complications as there is large muscle mass to absorb the toxins. Last time I felt this way was when I was bit by a Copperhead Snake. When I saw my doctor he said to rest, drink plenty of fluids, and there wasn’t much more he could do, unless symptoms get worse or an infection starts at the bite site. Hope this helps anyone out there.
My 2 year old told me a spider bit her, She has a red swelling with a white spot in the middle and then about 1/4-1/2 inch below it there is 2 tiny marks, almost like a needle prick.
I have to say a lot of you are I’m sorry, are stupid. Why would you wait until your bites get that bad, if it is a spider bite. It could also be staph infections; Mrsa… I’ve read that spider bites are often mistaken for that. You should go to the doctor right away. Don’t be posting, “I don’t know what to do” or “should I go to the doctor?” Those have obvious answers. I can understand if you’re posting to want to know what kind of spider bit you, but seriously, go see a doctor before it gets infected and you get sick. It could become more serious than that. It’s plan and simple common sense. Sorry if this seems harsh, but seriously people?!

Got these spider bites ( I’m thinking due to the very very very very itchy nature ), each morning I awake with more, haven’t figured out where they are coming from. They start as red bumps (pimple type but larger) then a small red dot appears in the middle , some bruise, and they are crusty like pus has oozed then hardened after I scratch them, and cause the area around it to become hard. I have tried cortizone, anti itch cream containing dyphenhydramine, Ivyrest with calamine lotion, benzyl alcohol, and dypenhydramine in it. STILL ITCHES LIKE…..bleep. About to go crazy. Oh, I also feel kinda feverish and chills at site. HELP! need treatment advice & what is this?

I was bitten by something two nights ago… day 1, it started out as a small blister looking bump, was hard and very itchy.. day 2, the blister has flatten out with some fluid inside and is the size of a penny, the middle still has liquid substance/water inside the rest is flat very red and VERY very itchy. So I was at work and I was working the drive thru when my leg started to itch. I scratched it a little but knew scratching it wouldn’t help. I didn’t think anything of it. I went home and got changed and that’s when i saw two bite marks? They’re really small, smaller than a dime. One has a bruise around it sort of and the other doesn’t They’re both open wounds I guess you could say. I’ve had a really bad headache since this and my knees are hurting.

my nephew just recently got out of the hospital for redness on front part of his leg, he woke up last Monday morning with a high fever, break in sweat really bad the leg was swollen and all red there was no bite mark or anything was just red hot, hard and in pain.
the doctor didn’t know what it was they was guessing up anything,when he got out they still didn’t know what it was,but because of my experience with a spider bite I told everyone that was around including the Dr and Rn’s in the hospital it was a spider bite.
my nephew is home 5 days later he see’s two eye on the hard part of his leg he tells me it looks like a spider the best part of him being in the hospital was they gave him some antibiotic and Motrin kept him inn for 3 1/2 day running up the hospital bill,when he got home still had a high fever which we use home remedy’s for it and it works,the antibiotic helps take out the poison out that cause the white puss inside,but if the bite causes anything else than the redness all around,fever,and sourness then please seek Dr attention it can cause allergies for some people.there is enough LOVE to go around and your HELP will make a difference.

In 2002 working as a security you bound to catch yourself getting bit by anything,but that time I wasn’t thinking of anything biting me because I always ware pants, but I guess was like the day after the bite that my leg was hurting I barely can stand on it, it was right below my knee on the inner part of my leg.
I had all the symptoms like sweating, fever, getting gold my leg was hard and reddish all around the front,before the eye appear on it the quarter size of it was really hard and itchy I just kept scratching then the little watery bump appear on the hard part,about the 4th day the bump bust and that’s when you see the 2 white eye ,I call it eye cause it looks just like it, what I’m trying to say is we will never know what is biting us but we can put 2 and 2 together and make something out of it, even with me as a strong person can take just about anything that bite last me about a month it goes down really slow.
The quarter size stays hard and gets really ugly with all the white stuff in it,I advice anyone with anything like that you need to take antibiotic for it or see the Dr I still end up going to the Dr after 4weeks of waiting it out cause it needs to clean out all of the white puss from inside and the Dr gave me for it the wound whet down after that and my leg is better………………..IF ANYTHING JUST TAKE SOME ANTIBIOTIC for anything poison,TAKE MOTRIN FOR PAIN AND FOR THE FEVER PART PUT A COLD WET TOWEL RIGHT OVER THE HARD PART, TAKE CARE
I’ve recently come back from 3 week trip to new york. we went to a baseball game and that night I vomited for no reason, I felt a bit sick but that’s about it. that morning, I found a huge bruise and lump on the side of my left leg just under my knee and to the right.
after a few days it start to disappear but the lump got itchier. after a while, I noticed a dark line coming from the lumping bruise reaching down half of my leg. my aunty works at a hospital and says it looks like a spider bite and the venom was trying to reach a main artery.

Clarissa M. – im pretty sure I have the something. I woke up a week ago and saw a patch of red skin on my forearm but just above the elbow. In this patch there are little white bumps. I usually have small white bumps on my upper arms, dermatitis I believe. I didn’t really think anything of it so I decided to pick at them and clear substance came out (pus maybe?).
Now, the white bumps are scabbed but my skin is still red. I never thought it could be a spider bite until I googled pictures and saw one like mine on this website. Needless to say, my arm is really restless, with pins and needles, as I’ve been trying to sleep tonight. Can my GP do anything for this? Does anyone know what type of spider this could be? I live on Long Island in NY. Thanks.
I was bitten two days ago. I think it’s a spider bite because I saw and killed a large spider that was in my family room about two feet from where I was sitting. I didn’t feel the bite & didn’t notice it until about an hour later when I went for blood work. When the lab tech. asked to see my veins and I displayed the under side of both arms, we saw the bite and bruising on my L. arm. There was a single penny sized bite about 2″ from the elbow with a single red center and redness and then bluish bruising around the bite.
What was really strange, was a series of three distinct dark round bruises in a single row going down my arm to the wrist. The middle bruise was smaller than the others and dark purple. Later another U-shaped marking came out above the first bruise and additional redness with what looked like two tiny round marks (almost as if it had been fangs) near the bite site. That day i went to an Urgie Care Center where they treated the site with some antibiotic cream and covered with a bandaid. The next day the bruises had begun to subside but I had an acute onset of sore throat. Called 911 & was taken to ER. My blood pressure was 180/75. The some throat is now gone (third day) and the bruises are continuing to fade. What bit me???? Thanks.

I’ve been reading up on these posts only because my daughter went into the woods with her dad, and she came back home with two small raised bumps (very close together), and they are red. I treated the area with disinfectant, ointment etc….but I have to say that I think some of these posts are CRAZY!!! Why on earth would you wait until your symptoms are that bad off before going to your GP (general physician) or the ER? The pictures I’ve seen are (in my opinion) just from laziness or just plain stupidity — your bite became such a problem BECAUSE you waited so long!!
I’ll keep an eye on my daughter’s leg — and the second anything changes (such as severe swelling, red streaks, or if it looks like it’s puss-filled), and we will be going to the GP and/or the ER.
It’s just crazy to me that some people wait until their leg or arm or whatever is about to fall off before they say “Should I go see the doctor???” — Ummm a resounding DUHHHHHH comes to mind!!!

Can anyone help me figure out if its a spider bite or something?
When I was a kid I had a small red dot that started on my bicep. I do not ever recall being bitten. After a few days it had formed into a red line traveling up my arm and shoulder. My mom took me to the med center where I was told it was spider venom following a vein toward my heart and I could have died if it had done so. I got a shot at the farthest point of the red line and was given a pill to swallow. Any idea of what kind of spider would have caused this?
I live in Southwest Michigan.
i woke up Saturday with a red spot on the back on my left hand and my middle finger on my right hand. they were bright red and then swelled and hurt really bad. and then yesterday i noticed that the swelling went down and they started to bruise. today you can feel the spot where i was bit and they still hurt. i’ve tried ice. anti itch stuff. and even allergy meds and nothing has worked. i have no idea what type of spider or even what it looked like that bit me but i’m going to keep watching and if it gets worse i’m going to seek medical help..
I have been bitten by something twice in the past three months. The symptoms are: red, hot and about 1.5 in perfect diameter and itchy in the middle of the circle. It is not painful and the redness and heat reduce by themselves over the next 5 days until it disappears. Can you tell me what kind of bite it is? Thank you.
i have a small bite on my finger i woke up from a nap and it was itching and at first there wasn’t anything there then my finger is slightly swollen and the bite is raised and a reddish pink
i woke up with two dots almost touching, black and a little bigger than a ball point pen. i didn’t know what it was. a couple days later it was red and bubbly about the size of a quarter. the black dots started to lose color and spread a little bit. i live in northern Rhode Island and I don’t know what bite me.
So recently i noticed that i had a bite, in a very awkward place that has gotten more irritating. The bite itself does not hurt, unless poked or prodded, it just itches. its appearance is like a blister, it is red and swollen and has a fairly large black…thing…in the center of it. the “blister” is about the size of the tip of my thumb, and the black area takes up about 1/4 of it. when poked at, the black area moves freely in whichever direction you so choose to move it. I noticed it itching about a week ago after going into an abandoned backyard. after a few days i poked it and realized it had started swelling to more than just an irritating itch. Anyone know what it might be, or have suggestions as to what i should do???

I had a reaction I normally do with spiders, which is the immediate itching with a little pain. I usually just put alcohol and salt right away….not this time. I was asleep when it bit me underneath the pillow. I scratched my arm cause it itched and knew it but I waited to see if it went away. It didn’t. It got worse and infected….I continued to put alcohol and salt but my arm was getting redder around the bit and the redness was spreading in a weird pattern. The little holes became a bigger hole with pus that wouldn’t come out. It felt like someone was stabbing my arm from the blood pressure going through it.
It was warm and swollen and hurt. I put cold packs tried to keep it clean. It was getting harder around the bite and was spreading along with the redness. A week had almost passed an was getting worse so I made an appointment with my Dr. The next morning. She saw it said it wasn’t too serious but definitely infected for a moment she thought I had a staph infection. I got a shot and antibiotics hoping it would drain on its own. That night it started to feel better I could lay my arm beside my body without the stabbing sensation but not for long.
The next morning it felt worse than it did before I went to the doctor..my arm felt like it wanted to go numb from my elbow to the tip of my middle finger, like it had before but this time I got shocks of pain to my back. She said if the wound didn’t drain she wanted me to go in and have it cut open as a last resort. When I hung up the phone I tried to drain it, didn’t work. I went home and tried to drain it in the shower. I was squeezing and pushing it so hard the top layer of skin was peeling and now felt like I had a burn on top of the pain I was feeling. My honey got home from work and asked about my arm and said it looked really back, worse than before.
He looked at me and said, “you’ve been been messing with haven’t you?!” I said yes. He asked if I wanted him to push it out for me. I said I couldn’t stand it any more and I didn’t want to get it cut open. It took what seemed to be hours to get it out. I was tough at first clenching my teeth and growling. It came out with blood, a clear fluid and pus and some weird yellow sacs. My whole arm swelled up after. That night I slept with an ice pack on my arm as I had been doing. It was draining on its own…yeah! It is now healing and is now a little over a week. Hurts right on the bite hole that it left but I feel much better.
i woke up this morning with what was at first a small itch, i scratched it once and it turned into a small burn. if i look really close, i can see two small entry wounds. and now, i haven’t touched it and the area of the bite feels like a throbbing burn. all the sites I’ve read on spider bites say if the area around the bite is irritated then i should worry, but i see no skin irritation. the pain is just constantly comes and goes about every 3 to 4 seconds and has me a little scared.
i was bitten on my ring finger not to long ago and it made my bpm go up to over 140 bpm and I’m not trying to have that happen again.
please help me if you can.
I was bite by something while I was sleeping two bite behind my upper leg and two on the inside of my left wrist, the bites on my left leg have swelled up and bruised about a soft ball around the bite the actually bite point is a dark pink, even though I was bite on the inside and bottom of my leg the pain spread to the quadrcept I’ve experienced no nausea or fever just allot of agony and nerve pain so it must be a neortoxin id love to post pics I just don’t know how to if you could email me I could send you pictures asap…
I got bit about two weeks ago from something at first i had a swollen purple spot about 2 inches in diameter with red around it and a white puss spot on the purple. I could not walk for 2 days because it swelled up my ankle soo bad. Now it just started hurting again and its a 2 inch red swollen circle with two dots and the white spot below them still forming a triangle together wondering if this is a spider bite first of all and secondly should i go to the doctor because i never did i just let it heal but it still hasn’t healed and work landscaping so its constantly being rubbed…

If you are concerned about a bruise on your arm and it seems to be getting worse and developing a white bump I think the smart thing to do is go see your doctor just to make sure everything is OK.

2 days ago I noticed this random bruise on my arm and I didn’t know what it was I asked my mom and dad and they said to keep an eye on it so I have been watching and now the bruise is turning purple then I started to notice a small white bump in the middle of my bruise should I be worried? Should I go see a doctor?
I have a spider bite that has swelled up a part of my leg. I tried the baking soda and sitting in an Epsom salt bath, but this morning it looked even worse than it did last night. and when i touch it its really hot. i live in Florida, and i don’t know what kind of spider it is. if you could help me out that would be great (:
I had a spider bite one my one arm and it got swollen and eventually healed. Then I had about 4 on my other arm only 2 got bad. Then the weirdest thing is a spotty rash started. First just around the bites then spread to my whole arm!! I went to the doctor and he said my spider bite was infected and gave me antibiotics. Is there anything else I should do? The rash is very itchy at times… And not very pretty. I am down right embarrassed of it. The pharmacist recommends taking benedryl at night and hydro cortisone cream just makes it it itchier….
I woke up with a few bites on my leg and a bite on my stomach two weeks ago, i shrugged it off thinking it would go away. The ones on my leg went away but the one on my stomach is red and swollen, it looks like a burn, sensitive to touch an d it is hard. a few days ago a lump next to it formed that looked like a zit so i popped it, otherwise it itself has not been puss’y? what to do what to do?
I noticed a small bump on my side a few days ago. it looked like a pimple at first but I never get them on my side . then a few days later it got really swollen & hard with a dark red big ring around it. It hurt so bad and was so tender and also warmer around that area then the rest of my body. I couldn’t even sleep on my side because the pain was so unbearable. finally today I was able to squeeze it and a bunch of pus & blood came out. Could this be an infected spider bite?
OMG why don’t you people go to the doctors why wait for replies on here it could be a serious bite that needs treating not waiting around hoping it will go away. YOU will get worse and worse and with no treatment could get very serious. If you think you have been bitten and you have swelling pain and especially if your muscles are going into spasm or hard to move please seek medical help.
Brook for gods sake take your dog to the vets to get help, he can’t go himself can he. He may be in pain have an infection or worse have unknown toxins in his body. Be responsible and take him to a vet to be checked out… You won’t get a proper diagnosis here so please seek medical help some of these bites look very serious and while your all sat here waiting for someone to say what it is your putting yourself in danger of becoming very ill…
The other day my leg felt itchy in the calf area, so when I took a look and scratch, there was a mark there that honestly kind of looks like a mosquito bite except for the big bruise surrounding the bite mark. I looked closer and it is actually two small marks close together. The bruise has doubled in size since yesterday, it is now about the size of a silver dollar, with the bite mark in the middle. The bite mark is a little red and swollen.
Any thoughts on what this could be?
I was outside toady and got bit by something on my foot in one area and it is a small round red spot. I was wondering what it could be? it itches really bad. should i see a doctor?
Ive been bitten by a spider before but nothing like this, I have a mark that looks like 2 red circles right next to each other with a pimple looking mark in each circle on my arm.

My names Kizzy and last night I was in bed when a felt a little pinch on my arm. I shrugged it off until I felt more stinging all over my arm, I got up in a rush to get my mom. When she looked at it there were bumps all over my arm and it was very red (from me scratching it probably though) The stinging settled down a bit but I kept feeling these weird burning sensations a couple of times. I woke up this morning and it hurts when touched and there’s two REALLY tiny pink holes in my arm, which led me to think it was a spider bite. I live in Georgia and don’t know much about the spiders here, except the black widow.

I live in Southwest Florida and have seen spider sacs from brown widows, in my lanai, under tables, etc. Yesterday, I was cutting ferns and did not have my garden gloves on. Later I realized my left hand was swollen with a bite mark in the center of a lump. The skin around the bite turned very red and swollen. I took a benadryl and last night it was burning and itching.
Today the lump is still swollen and it is mostly burning. Is this a typical reaction to a brown widow bite?
My friend had a spider bite that has swelled up her whole hand. she tried the baking soda and water thing like 10 times, but this morning it looked even worse than it did last night. she told me that it was hot when she touched it. we live in Washington, and i don’t know what kind of spider it is. if you could help us out that would be great 🙂
Hi my name is Shane fowler, I have been bitten by a house spider but it didnt really leave any scars it left 2 little dots. And to know if it was a house spider the wound would have been as big as a peice of corn and it would of healed fast! Hope this helped!
I live in an area of the house were I ALWAYS have spiders in and about. The worst I’ve had was a spider bite that swelled up about the size of a quarter on my Achilles tendon, and i swore to myself id never get a BAD bite again, I noticed yesterday I had been scratching, both feet are completely covered in bites about the size of the head of a nail? It’s actually painful NOT to scratch. I’ve been dousing them in hydrogen peroxide which calms it down a bit. What I don’t understand is that they don’t seem to be fluid filled, they are completely hard like if i tried i could successfully cut the whole thing out because its solid. I almost drained them this morning, brought a pin to meet a friend to ask him to help me puncture each one, but until I know what they are I don’t want whatever fluid is there running everywhere. Does anyone know anything about why it would be hard?
I have this bite on the middle of my leg. It has a single whole at the top and is red around it. And it is swollen and puffy. Its sore to the touch and when I get up from sitting it starts to tingle. Any info would help. Thanks!
Hello, I have an on going issue with a few spider bites. It seems to be the worst on my right leg. It started out as a sore red spot one day then the next it had puss on the top, it was very sore to the touch. I at first though it was an ingrown hair but after I popped it it went crazy, it now looks as if someone burned me with a cigarette. The bad thing is that I did find a hobo spider under my bed which I killed. We do have a large variety of spiders out here in the country soo…..who dunnit? The only problem is now (6months later) after docs giving me misc creams and antibiotics it has seem to gone systemic and spread across the lower inner part of my leg from my ankle to my knee. I only have a handful on my left leg. I will send pics if you would like. I really don’t know what to do, our area unfortunately seems to be at a lack for good docs, but I do have an appointment tomorrow with a new one :-{
My girlfriend was bitten by a spider a couple of days ago, on Saturday, the bite was swollen at start but now it has gotten really big to the point that it has swollen all the way from the calf to her ankle. The bite is in the middle of her calf with a red rash around it, but the leg is swollen all the way to the ankle, specially around the ankle. The swollen area is distinguishable because of the slight discoloration, darker than the color of the skin.
i have a holistic remedy for all insect bites and i believe in it whole heartedly. just this weekend i was bit, maybe in my sleep because i didn’t see the culprit, but i assumed it was a spider because of the two tiny holes. after 18 hours or so my bite turned form a mosquito like itchy bite into a big itchy red spot about the size of a quarter swollen with two tiny holes leaking clear liquid…i did squeeze the liquid out as much as i could but here is the remedy. CUT AN ONION IN HALF AND PLACE THE FLAT SIDE OF THE ONION DOWN ON TOP OF YOUR BITE>Hold it there for several minutes, the longer the better> THE LAYERS AND PUNGENCY OF THE ONION DRAWS OUT THE POISON/VENOM. works to get the stinger out too if its a bee sting. trust the ONION it works, my bite today (i did the onion last night for 10 minutes or less) and my bite today is just a tiny red spot, barely swollen at all and not itchy. i would love to hear other peoples results with this treatment. i have heard that onions absorb all kinds of toxins, and were even used during the black plague to absorb infection out of the air.
about 3 days ago i felt something sting me it made me feel like i had a hot flash i looked and it was a little white spot..today its red the size of a half dollar and has red streaks down my arm itches like crazy and feels hot to the touch and feels very hard..any1 know what this might be?
I saw this thing in my garage (I don’t have a photo) it was about 3-4 inches long . It had a bone/beige colored upper body and 6-8 legs and a gray furry lower body with black circles around it, it was scary. Anybody have an idea.

Barb D; That looks like the bite from a Brown Recluse spider. Their bites eat away at the tissue until it’s treated. I hope he’s doing better now. Skin grafts can’t be fun! =(
I woke up this morning with a swollen, red spot on my knee. It is about 2 1/2 inches across. It is not as red and swollen as it was this morning. And the itching has subsided. Should I see a doctor?
This just in. I am a 48 hrs old female, I was bitten around Monday, July 25, 2011. I was at a friends house when all of a sudden my calf start to have a restricted feeling, I could hardly been my knee, which had become swollen and kept swelling. Tuesday morning the pain was so intense I went to the hospital. They drained some fluid off my knee cap and told me it was FINE.
I could not understand what happened. I did not see a bite mark anywhere until Wednesday, while showing. I noticed what looked like a bite mark on my right hip. It feels like my leg is paralyzed. Pain is very intense. I have been taking vicoprofen ( vicodin and ibuprofen in one pill) i sat with my leg propped for two days. It is friday and the pain still feels as bad as if it were Monday.
Please somebody tell me what spider causes you to feel paralyzed and unable to move your muscles. My muscles in my right leg are hard and stiff. And I am getting scared.

Hi I live in Moncks Corner, SC and I noticed bout three mornings ago that I had this bite close to my ankle and it was really itchy and I guess I must have been scratching it in my sleep because when I woke up it was already scabbed over but it hurt to walk and it was swollen, red, and hot. and if I just barely push down on the area around it it almost feels like its bruised and now that a couple days have gone by its not as red and the swelling has gone down but the area is dark like a bruise, except towards the center which is still red. Any ideas to what kind of spider could have done this?
i have this weird looking painful spot at the base of my neck, start of my collar bone. the first day i noticed it, the bump itched. the next couple days it looked like a black head, so i tried to pop it. now its even bigger, its red and hurts when its touched by anything. i have no idea if it a spider bite or not.

Hey, my name is Selena and i was sitting outside with my friends at night time and on the top of my right forearm i think i felt a mosquito bite, so i just brushed it off but i woke up this morning and didn’t really check on is but a few hours later at my biology camp i noticed it was swollen bigger then a quarter and it hurt really really bad and its red-ish-purple but I’m tan so i cant really tell 🙁 but its getting to the point where I’m now typing most of this with my left hand, and my arm is pretty small this bite makes it look two times bigger, now my whole arm is not swollen just that little bite and I’m really scared but we cant afford to go to the doctor just in case its not a spider bite and I’m just having a bad reaction to the mosquito bite. please please help me and let me know if this sound familiar or you know what it is. thanks so much

I live in Los Angeles, California and I hate spiders. We have probably 30 spiders in our white old house and they are mostly in my room my mom got bit on the leg in her room. It was awful, she rushed to the doctor.
Hello friends. I’m 25 yrs old and live in Jacksonville FL. I was bitten around 4 weeks ago on big toe multiple times. It itched and hurt while bending. I couldn’t believe how far apart the fang marks were. What is strange is out of 4; lets say; bites there may have been 3 diameter differences in bites. Is that normal? No red lines or bruise looking spots, just a lot of swelling and clear substance coming out to a ball shape then some times running down foot ( minor drainage ). I was fine with that bite, not my first rodeo with mother nature. I went fishing on beach, soaked in salt water and occasional alcohol swab. So 4 weeks ago, I was bitten, swelling went down and thought I was cured.
Well I woke up today with 5 bites, same exact thing that happened but now on my elbow below it and above it from triceps to 3 inches below elbow. I scratch, ooze comes out and I clean it but now I’m curious of what keep biting me. I am not scared for my life but I have a 7 inch by 5 inch red mound that has swollen a little bit on the back of my arm. This happens at night only. I wake up and ill move the bitten part of my body and then ill feel it, and its happened twice now. Night time, in bed, multiple bites per ATTACK. I live in Orange, CA and its day 2 of my spider bite. Last night, I was playing my PS3 on the couch and my arm was itching a lot. I woke up with two little holes right next to each other on my arm. I’m not sure if its a wolf spider or not.
Hey guys, so last night I was bit by something!! Pretty sure it was a spider, but I didn’t see it… I live in Kansas where Brown recluse spiders are common… But I looked up the symptoms for having a bite from that spider and there were only a few.. It’s on my mid thigh,there’s so swelling about the size of a quarter, there’s some light bruising, and last night when it happened my leg felt really weird… Not it’s around 10am and my leg doesn’t feel weird but it still has the bruising and swelling, it didn’t increase though. But I have a head ache, and my Stomach has been queasy.. Any suggestions on what spider or bug, and what to do? Very much appreciative. Thanks!
My husband’s spider bite. [Day 2] We live in Virginia and have seen wolf spiders, black widows and brown recluses.
I live in Detroit, MI but I also work in Pontiac, MI at the ctc headquarters, and i was bitten by some poisonous spider. I woke up one day my leg was swollen and where it swelled up at was like black and red almost purple and it had one pimple like dot on my leg so I was at work and I hit my leg on something and it busted open and a lot of puss and fluids were coming out my leg and all seen was the poison that was in my leg and my white meat. So I had rushed to the ER and they confirmed that I was bitten by a spider but didn’t know which kind so after the doctor cut the poison out and cleaned my leg it look like a bullet wound so he gave me a shot and the antibiotics he told me i was real lucky because if the poison would’ve gotten into my bloodstream I could’ve died so I’m happy for that. If you what kind of spider it was please let me know.
I was driving the day before yesterday and I heard something hit the window..which then fell on my leg and began to burn immediately. So I thought something had burned me..it hurt so bad so fast I just smacked it off my leg without thinking..I think it was whiteish in color. There was one red mark on my leg and nothing else. I woke up the next day to a small raised area..but today it was a larger red area slightly raised with a pencil point size darkish bubble at the center. It is warm to the touch and slightly itchy. I wonder if it was a spider or not
When I was a kid I had what we thought were 3 spider bites that all occurred at different times. We thought they were spider bites because they started out as small red itchy bumps. The bump eventually turned flat and the redness got larger. After a couple days thin red lines started grow outward from the red circle and the bite resembled a spider. It was weird, it didn’t hurt it just itched bad and eventually went away. Does anybody know what has a bite like that?

And a few days ago I was bit by something. My friend told me it was a spider bite. I’m not sure which kind.
But the first day, my hand was itching like crazy. And of course, I scratch it. The next few days, it starts to swell up real big and it almost taken over my whole hand. Whenever I clench my fist. It hurts, and the bite sometimes ooze out clear liquid.
What insect or spider is biting me ? Please help !
