Spider Bite Video

Doctor cautions about spider bite video being too gross to watch.Warning: This is a very disturbing Spider Bite Video and may cause those with weak stomachs to vomit! It is a video of a young man bitten by a spider on the face and records himself as he squeezes the pus from the bite. There was sound with this video, but because it contained vulgarity, it was removed – this also improved video speed.

There is a lot of pus, and as I watched it, it sent chills down my spine. I highly recommend you not play the video if you don’t like blood and pus!

This Spider Bite Video was posted to inform those of what can happen if you leave a spider bite untreated!

The whitish-yellow substance shown in this spider bite video (pus) is produced during the body’s inflammatory responses. The pocket of pus shown in this video contains a protein-rich fluid, liquor puris, and dead neutrophils (white blood cells), which are part of the body’s innate immune response.

Neutrophils move to the site of infection and engulf and kill bacteria. After it has killed a bacterium, the neutrophil dies and is what you see dripping out of the bite area.

Video may be Disturbing!

Again, this video of the spider bite may be disturbing!

Note: We removed this, just too disturbing. BUT, you can search for it here using the term Spider Bite Squeezed Pus.

As a medical transcriptionist, I can attest to the fact that doctors can’t spell (see above posts, LOL).

As for the bite versus abscess controversy, one can lead to the other, they are not mutually exclusive. I had a spider bite near my eye that I did not realize was a spider bite at the time I first got it, and I scratched at it at first and squeezed it, thinking it was just a blemish (it was a really hot, sweaty day and I thought that the combination of sweat and sunglasses has just caused an irritation). This caused it to get infected, and I ended up with a whopping infection and abscess on my face that became life-threatening.

So while a bite might generally involve a serum-filled welt, an abscess can certainly develop if, like me, you are careless and allow the wound to get infected!

i recently got bit by a spider i thought it was a roach! but my friend said it was a spider today is the 5th day and i squeezed some bugger like pus and something like a long string…. it was so weird so i went ahead and googled it ! and ran into this video yuk! that how mine look!!!!!! and painful a circle size of a nickle red hot and hard and very painful. ok. This past week my son came to me with a bite of some sort on his belly. After looking at it I noticed two fang like marks. I knew it was a spider bite. After it swelled up really big I knew I had to do something. That evening I started to work on it. It looked just like this video. No JOKE. It took 3 days of working at it to get the pus sacks to come up.After I got the pus sacks out the next day it looked a lot better. I wouldn’t want the spider that got him to ever bite me. Talk about painful.

well it was actually very amazing to see this and watch it. I know its very weird for me to say this but to me squeezing pus of of a pimple or something similar is actually fun.

I have a spider bite right, now which is why i am watching these videos, and was just recently bit , most likely by a Brown Recluse, but we dont no for sure, and it started off small, but then it started going into a huge whole, but i got strong antibiotics to stop the venom from spreading throughout my leg, and i could have to get plastic surgery if the whole doesnt fill in , it is really bad, !!! i didnt feel it when i got bitten, so i dont no where or what i got bitten by, …

  6. DarkAngelWithNonentity says:

Sorry everyone.. With the location of this infection.. And the amount and “stuff” that is coming out of the wound… This is most definately not a spider bite. If this was a spider bite… They outer skin would have worn away very quickly if it were infected to a degree strong enough to cause a bite this bad. The skin around the affected area was for the most part in tact… This infection came from deep within.. Much deeper than a spider can penetrate. This is a swollen infected lymph node.. Simply an infected cyst. By the looks of it it is probably a staff infection, possibly MRSA which is becoming a very well known infection in the community now days. I had had a MRSA infection in a cyst in almost the exact location. I will say that my cheek swelled almost triple it’s usual size.. I wish I would have taken pictures to show you all. It is seriously much MUCH like this guy heres. Pus and blood poored out of it.. I noticed he had water and a lighter.. These types of infections are most easily taken care of by moist heat directly applied.. The hotter the area, the easier to force it to burst.

Generally a staff infected wound like this will easily be mistaken for a spider bite.. The only way to truely tell is from an experienced doctors eyes or after a swab and several tests have been run.

  7. Brittany says:

o.k. so this video was awesome….but i dont cringe at the site of blood, pus, or anything of that nature…i can’t believe how huge the bite place had swelled up though o.O wow! but anyways kudos to the dude that filmed this…it was awesome!!!

  8. S.Hodges says:

As a retired registered nurse I recognized this as a spider bite that had abcessed with a staph infection. You will notice that the guy never washed his hands, cleaned the area first. What you are seeing is the core that is being removed. Wonder if he was on antibiotics?

  9. Leanna says:

I was once bitten by some type of spider and something very similar happened to me. My husband was also bitten and he actually almost died because the venom was traveling up through his vien to his heart. It was the most pain either one of us had ever felt. We got treated and now we both have crazy scars and are terrified of spiders. I still want to know what the heck bite us!

  10. James G says:

THIS WAS NOT A SPIDER BITE.

As others have said before in this thread, this was a staph infection of a hair follicle. (Furuncle or boil if you will.)

In fact, the majority of spider bites are misdiagnosed staph infections. A brown recluse spider bite will tend to leave a much larger hole, as tissue necrosis occurs. Staph infections look similar to spider bites, but differ in important ways.

  11. ricky dunn says:

This video was not gross it was pretty shocking but that’s what happens when you get bit by a spider . I have a spider bite right at this moment and i don’t know what to do. It bit me in the neck and i can not eat any thing.

  12. hollie says:

HELLO??? Why is this kid not in the ER? I would not be trying to mess with that on my own! YUK! I would need some serious pain killers and antibiotics for that.

  13. candy says:

quite frankly, if a spider of any kind bites me, it may as well kill me ! I cannot live knowing one of those disgusting creatures bit me! Especially knowing how badly the bite affects your body. Dude, go to the doctor!

  14. TJ West says:

I was bitten by a brown recluse, that basted got me once and i woke up and went to kill it and the fella tagged me again. this was on my left hip, right above that hip bone.

The damage it left wasn’t very bad only because i squeezed it as hard as i could, but i had to pull these scabs off… kinda gross, sorry; they were the hardest scab i have ever seen, they were 1/16th thick and hurt like the dickens to pull off, usually ripped the wound more… sorry again…

Well i wanted to comment to let every one know if you push with the middle knuckles on your index finger you get better leverage and force when using them then your finger tips like the guy in the video.

OH Btw, even though i did push out the pus (not as thick like above but more or less white blood cells rushing to the wound trying to kill the infection w/ a little blood mixed in) but i was in the hospital for 1week and a half, and almost died.

  15. Alabama Girl says:

First of all my leg looks like his face all swell up but it has form a head. I do not know if its a spider bite are not but since i seen this video I do not want my leg to come infected like this. So i will be going to the hospital on tomorrow. Thanks for posting this video!

  16. GAZ says:

    Hello Guys,

That’s a horrible bite video, but formal.
I want to know, does it hurt to squeeze the pus out of the actual bite area.

    Thanks.

  17. Ann Little says:

I’m being treated for an infection in my hand that the doctors’ believe MAY be a spider bite. It meets all criteria above and even after antiobitic treatment there was still a good deal of (pus), pus, swelling still etc. Treatment started Easter and I still am running fever, hand hurts etc. NOT FUN AT ALL!!
Sorry no picture, husband Salmon fishing while hot and has camara.

Oh, and there is a black dot in middle of bite, of course IF that is what it is.

  18. craig-z lamond says:

Hi there….could the person in charge PLEASE, change the title of this video to “Massive Zit Explosion”, or “Boils Gone Wild” or “If you have one of these, it is NOT a spider bite!” or some other proper title?
Lots of folks are watching this video thinking it is a spider bite vid, which it is NOT. Thanks, I now return you to your normal programming…….CZ

  19. Ashley says:

Wow its my first day seeing these spiders and that video is uhhhhhhh! imagine that happening to you although i have been bit by a baby widow didnt hurt much when it bit me only when it injected its venom felt i little wiggly but hurted! But it hurted….see ya !

  20. tom says:

i work in a hospital and have seen my fair share of spider bites as well as snake bites, and can tell you that is not a spider bite.more than likely its a boil, a spider bite hurts and if you look at this guy he is talking and joking around like its no big deal, THAT MUCH PUS EQUALS MASSIVE INFECTION.i like to know what his face looks like now that it has been “fixed”

  21. immo says:

What you see isn’t a spider bite at all, that poor chap had a worm in his face. If you watch the spider bite video, you’ll see that he’s pulling out a worm out of that large mass.

  22. ashley says:

poor dude! that spider bite video was a little gross but i wasn’t disturbed. hey i live by a creek and theres tons of spiders and i hope i don’t get bit by one!

  23. kitty says:

that was disturbing… where was all of that mustard-like crap coming from?! how did it all fit in there?! his bite must of been constantly producing pus by the second! that had to of been a pretty big spider! can you imagine meeting one THAT big?!

  24. lorraine says:

That poor dude, hope you went to a doctor!!!!you heard of septic shock????and the lady was very right about the gloves, let all of us know your out come dude,ya,we care duhhhh!

  25. Amy says:

My son and daughter both have gotten bites like these and we were told by the doctor NOT to squeeze them. They were probably caused by a fiddleback or recluse. We still don’t know what kind, but extremely painful and the tissue around the area is damaged for a long time.

  26. L.A. Jones says:

To eliminate spiders and most other kinds of bugs like them, use diatomaceous earth. It is sold in swimming pool stores or department stores. It is used for filtering. Look it up if you want to know what it is made of. It comes in generous amounts, 10, 25 lb boxes.

Take a handful and sprinkle it around any area you want to rid of spiders (insects). Takes a day to have an effect. It is not harmful to people or animals even if eaten. You can dust your animals with it. (good for fleas).

It works by grinding the legs off the insects. They have the kind of legs that attract and hold things. This stuff just tears them up into little pieces. Don’t worry while grinding their legs off their abdomen is usually punctured and the insect dies.

Kind of a just reward, don’t you think so?

  27. lizzy says:

that was diffenty a racluse he did the right thing its hard to work with gloves im sure he washed his hands if it was someone else yes they need to where gloves i had that same kinda bite on the inside of my thigh he really needed some doxician after that that was really bad

  28. James Ortley says:

For those of you who do not choose to read others peoples comments and consistently ask “what kind of spider caused this bite?” I can confidently say that this is not a spider bite. For those of you who are absolutely postive that this is a bite delivered from species loxoceles reclusa (brown recluse), you are also very wrong, The reaction to the bite of a brown recluse is necrosis, in other words, the flesh and muscle around where the bite was delivered will decay leaving a “hole”, also brown recluse spiders are an exiled species living only in the southern United States. What the young man in this video had was a boil, or to be even more specific, a furuncle or carbuncle: An abscess in the skin caused by the bacteria. The boy in the video is stupid, the best thing for him to have done would have been to seek medical attention as soon as he realized that there was a problem.

Another important little fact is that most people will only be bitten by a spider once or twice in their entire life. Something to think about before one jumps to a conclusion.

  29. Lisa says:

i would like to know what kind of spider bite this is please.
how lond did it take for the core to come out?
how long does it take for it to clear up after after the core comes out?
    Thanks Lisa

  30. Summer aka Merr says:

This is absolutely fascinating and rancid all wrapped up in a cute little video. I’ve watched it like 4 times. I can’t get the ladies in my office to watch. Whatever spider did this …..I want to make sure and steer clear of it.

  31. Greg says:

even this webpage has info on MRSA STAPH!! go under spiderbites, its on the left side of the page because 9 out of 10 people who think they have a spider bite actually have staph…….read the facts people, don’t jump too conclusions about your self diagnosis

  32. Greg says:

This is NOT a recluse spider bite…the recluse bite is redish and then hardens over time. It does not swell and fill with tremendous amounts of pus, the skin actually hardens and dies very quickly. The video appears to be a very bad staph infection, a boil that has become so infected that its oozing pus.

  33. ginger says:

I was bitten by a spider n three spots. Thought it was shingles until I found this video. Gross. My bites were so painful I dint want two touch them. Just cleaned them an put Neosporin and a band aid on it, popped a couple Tylenols…don’t know what kind of spider bit me. (live in new orleans), but the necrotic arachnidism syndrome cycle chart fits the description of what mine looked and felt like.

  34. wayne osborne says:

Just so everyone knows. That was an absess/boil not a spider bite. It looks nothing like a spider bite, recluse or other. Furthermore any idiot who would treat it like that would likely do more damage to surrounding tissue.

  35. Ms. Brynn says:

I don’t know how I found this video. I was researching spiders and spider bites, because I have seen so many around my house, garage and garden. I wanted to become informed. Now, I like popping, peeling and picking at myself (and others)(come on now, guys, some you are also like this)……but that was absolutely *%^$#@g disgusting! Anyway, what happened to that man?

  36. bpb says:

Regardless of the type of bite/infection/boil this young man had, he may have done more damage to himself than the bacteria that caused it, simply by playing doctor.

I hope common sense took over after the show and he sought help from a medical center.

I am somewhat of a skeptic and I have seen special effects that are more detailed than this video was. However, if it is real, I wish him well.

  37. Robert says:

I have never seen anything like that. I was just bitten by some kind of spider on my hand, but nothing like that but i would have done the same thing

  38. jenna says:

My sister got bit by a spider and it swelled up. The funny thing is that she doesn’t feel sick and the wound doesn’t itch. Anyone have any ideas please post a comment! I’m very worried after seeing this video.

  39. Kelly says:

I love your taste in videos! I’m a RN who loves I&D’ing abscesses!

I believe this to be an abscess, and not a recluse bites. Recluses aren’t just hanging around biting everyone. Most people that show up in ER with a “spider bite”, have a abscess which has also developed into cellulitis.

This is what has happened to the man in the video. I wish I could talk some sense into him. This needs cultured and started on IV antibiotics. This man could be dead for all we know. I can’t even imagine the possibilities of where this infection is headed. Most definitely has the potential to develop into osteomyelitis.

The “sac” that he is removing is simply the “pus sac”. Fibrous tissue.

I will caution everyone that follows this website to not squeeze these infections. When you see them first develop, keep your hands off of them, your skin clean with soap and water. Warm compresses only. And get to a doctor for by mouth antibiotics.

MRSA is real and is starting to spread outside of the health care facilities. It’s not messing around. Staph is everywhere. You best defense is to keep yourself clean with frequent handwashing, etc. Soap and water is always the best defense!

As I email this, my 35 year old daughter is in a hospital fighting to keep her foot from being amputated from being bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider. She had sprained her ankle first, and did not realize she had been bitten. They have had to cut out at least a 4 inch square section of her foot around the ankle and there is a huge hole.

They pack it with gauze which they pull out for the dressing changes. Antibiotics, incredibly painful, they have to medicate her each time they debride it and use the whirlpool and do the dressing change. She is on a continuous pain pump in her IV as well as heavy duty oral pain meds and valium to tolerate the procedures each day.

To date she has been in the hospital 6 days. This is nothing to mess with and if anyone thinks they have been bitten, they should get their behinds to the ER post haste or risk amputation and possibly death!

If this infection goes into the bone, all they can do is amputate. It has been horrible. This young man should have been in the hospital, not doing it himself.

We carry Staph Aureus on our skins, if that goes internal then we go into septic shock and can die. People die from it every day.
